Change the Position of the Desktop Wallpaper (All Windows) Popular
Unfortunately Windows only gives you the limited options of center or tile for the placement of the desktop wallpaper. With this setting you can move the image anyway on your desktop.

Disable Image Preview (Windows XP)
When you open an image file in Windows XP the default action is to "Preview" it using the Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. This tweak can be used to disable the Preview image option.

Change the Thumbnail Image Settings (Windows XP)
These settings control the format of the saved thumbnail images, including the image size and quality.

Change the Color of Encrypted Files (Windows XP)
When a file or folder is encrypted it is normally shown using a different color in Explorer. This setting defines which color to use.

Change the Color of Compressed Files and Folders (Windows NT/2000/XP)
When a file is compressed in Windows there is an option in Explorer to display it in a different color to easily distinguish them. This setting defines what color to use, the default is blue.

Change the Color of Active File and Folder Links (All Windows)
This setting controls the link color of the active files and folders when using the web view (single-click) display method.

Show Compressed Files in an Alternate Color (Windows NT/2000/XP)
This setting controls whether compressed files and folders are shown in explorer using a different color to make them easily distinguishable.

These DirectX settings allow you to change some of the DirectDraw and Direct3D video acceleration parameters.

Open and Save Dialog Box Customization (Windows 2000/Me/XP)
These settings allow you to remove the places bar, most-recently-used (MRU) list and the back button from the common dialog boxes.

Control Whether Windows Performs Smooth Scrolling (All Windows) Popular
This setting allow you to disable the Windows smooth scrolling function, which on an low-powered system can cause performance degradation.
