Disable Secure E-mail Certificate Checking (All Windows)
When you send a secure message in Outlook 2002 or Outlook 2000, you may need to use a certificate that does not match your e-mail address. This tweak allows you to turn off e-mail matching for certificates.

Disable Password Caching for Outlook Internet Mail (All Windows)
As a security precaution, you may want to disable the password caching ability for all Internet mail protocols (IMAP, POP and Hotmail) in Outlook 2002. This setting will cause Outlook to request a password on each attempt to retrieve new mail.

Disable Windows Messenger in Outlook (All Windows)
This setting can be used to disable the integration of Windows (MSN) Messenger so that is does not start when using Microsoft Outlook.

Manage Attachment Security in Outlook (All Windows)
New security measures that improve the dialog box warnings for attachments were included in Microsoft Outlook beginning with Outlook 2000 (SR-1). The file extensions that trigger the more secure warnings can be managed through the registry.

Remove Deleted Information from Outlook (All Windows)
Even though an item may have been deleted in Outlook some remnants of it could still remain accessible in the raw data files. This setting causes Outlook 2000 and 2002 (XP) to completely remove all deleted data when it is shut down.

Set the Temporary Attachment Directory for Outlook (All Windows)
When you open an attachment in an Outlook the temporary attachment file is created in a known folder, this may present a possible security problem. This tweak allows you to change the temporary directory used for storing attachments.

Disable Outlook Today Page (All Windows)
This restriction is used to disable the "Outlook Today" page in Microsoft Outlook 2002. When this setting is applied the option to view Outlook Today will be removed.

Control Security Settings Feature in Outlook 98 (All Windows)
The Outlook 98 service packs introduced a security feature that disabled the ability to directly open executable (EXE) file. This tweak allows you to disable that functionality.

Read Messages as Plain Text in Outlook 2002 (All Windows)
This restriction is used to specify that all non-digitally-signed messages should be read as plain text. This is useful in avoiding a large number of security vulnerabilities caused by HTML viruses.

Disable Secondary Credentials Dialog Box in Outlook (All Windows)
This setting allows you to disable the secondary credentials dialog box that is displayed when you start Outlook 2002 and log on to a Microsoft Exchange Server computer that is in a different domain than the client.

Modify the Outlook Today Location (All Windows)
This setting allows you to specify an alternate URL to show instead of the default Outlook Today page in Microsoft Outlook 2000 and 2002.

Modify the Outlook 2002 and Office XP Attachment Restrictions (All Windows)
Microsoft Outlook 2002, included with Office XP, introduced new restrictions to stop possible unsafe e-mail attachments from being opened or saved. This tweak allows you to override those restrictions.

Minimize Outlook to System Tray
Like most applications Outlook 2002 (from Office XP) will normally minimize to the taskbar. This setting changes the default behaviour so that it will minimize to the system tray (next to the clock) instead.

Enable Internet Mail Logging in Outlook 2000 (All Windows)
To help diagnose POP3, SMTP and Internet mail problems, Microsoft included a logging option for Outlook 2000. This feature can be enabled through the registry.
